<p>System comprises a catheter having at least one band (14) permanently connected to it, and a stent drawn onto the catheter. The band, comprising a thermoplastic elastomer, provides a retention area that receives and fixes an open tab. In a non-expanded state, the open tab is fixed in the retention area of the band supported by clamping and friction forces. In an expanded state, the open tab is no longer located in the retention area. The outer edge of the band has an angle of less than 45[deg] to the longitudinal axis of the catheter.
