PERIODICAL REFRESHING FOR RADIO CHANNELS QUALITY INDICATOR

A periodic refresh of a wireless channel quality indicator is provided to reduce power consumption and reduce a time for hand over about receiving bit stream under DVD environment(Digital Video Broadcast). A radio frequency channel is identified by scanning bandwidth(2). A quality indicator is determined according to the radio frequency channel(4). A channel for receiving data stream is selected according to a quality indicator(6). The refresh period toward the quality indicator of each channel is determined(20). A weighted value is applied to all refresh periods according to the value of the quality indicator of the processed channel.
