<p>A vacuum cleaner dust separator, preferentially a household vacuum cleaner's one, is executed from at least two mutually coaxially arranged segments (1), each of them executed as a cylinder mantle consisting of axially running lamellae (2) arranged one after another at intermediate slits (3), where a bottom (4) is foreseen in one of the edge segments (1), which continues with a tubular coaxially running extension (5) foreseen to be mounted on the axle of a turbine and which protrudes through an opening (6) executed in a virtual base opposite to the bottom (4). The lamellae (2) are shaped or arranged in the bottom-containing (4) segment (1) so that they exert as low resistance to air flow through the slits (3) between the said lamellae (2) as possible, whereas on the next segments (1), the lamellae (2) are shaped or arranged so that the resistance to air flow is increased within them, by which a smaller pressure drop of the air jet occurs in this part of the lamellae (2) in the separator's interior. At the exterior side of the segment (1) close to a flange (7), smaller lamellae (10) are executed to reduce the pressure drop of the air flowing through the part of the separator in the vicinity of the flange (7). Smaller lamellae (8) are executed on the flange (7) to seal the rotating separator against the casing.</p> |
