METHOD FOR PREDICTING BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS RESPONSES IN HEPATOCYTES

The inventive method employs a "systems biology" approach to predicting hepatotoxicity and other biological hepatocyte responses resulting from exposure to the test substance. In one embodiment, the invention provides an automated method for predicting the hepatocyte biological systems effect of a test substance. In another embodiment, the invention provides a method for constructing a knowledgebase (or database) of cellular systems biology response profiles for reference substances with known biological systems effects.
