<p>The plate (10) has a middle layer (5) forming a layer of derived timber product. Two external layers form upper and lower sides of the plate and are formed of synthetic resin layers (9). The middle layer consists of massive balsa cross-grained wood whose wood fibers and/or capillaries (51) are oriented perpendicular to upper and lower sides of the plate. The resin layers are applied by a direct coating process. The plastic resin layer is formed as a decorative paper impregnated with synthetic resin e.g. thermosetting resin and melamine resin. The middle layer is overlaid with an intermediate layer by an adhesive e.g. melamine resin adhesive, urea formaldehyde polycondensation adhesive, urea resin formaldehyde polycondensation adhesive, polyvinyl acetate and polyurethane adhesive. Derived timber product of the intermediate layer is formed as thin medium density fiberboard (MDF) and high density fiberboard (HDF). An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a decorative plate.</p> |
