A monolithic light emitting device being excellent in coloring stability, capable of regulating coloring, and suitable for miniaturizing; a lighting device using it and a driving method therefor. The monolithic light emitting device is a lighting monolithic light emitting device comprising a plurality of light emitting diodes array-arranged monolithically on a single substrate, and each provided with a layer including a pn junction-containing semiconductor material and a fluorescent substance for outputting light from the semiconductor and absorbing part or the whole of the light for conversion into light with a different wavelength, wherein the above array is composes of a group of light emitting diodes consisting of m (m>=2) pieces of the above light emitting diode, the group of light emitting diodes is composed of N types (N>=2, N<= m) of light emitting diodes each having either one of preset N types of light emitting spectrum shapes, and an average light emitting spectrum from the whole array can be changed by changing a power supplied to the light emitting diodes for each light emitting diode group grouped according to the type of a light emitting spectrum shape. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009 |
