The tread has a tread wear indicator formed by a cavity emerging on a running surface (30), where a trace of the cavity i.e. single closed curve, on the surface includes a bearing surface and a set of parts (111-113) connected to and projected on the bearing surface. The number of the parts is based on the wear rate of the tread, and geometrical shape and area of the trace of the cavity on the running surface are modified based on the wear rate of the tire tread. Geometrical shape of the trace is an analog expression of the wear rate of the tread.
