PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method and a molding apparatus for a foamed resin molded product using a counter-pressure method, avoiding appearance defect of the foamed resin molded product by completely venting surplus gas even from a part of a shape liable to cause remaining of the surplus gas, like an intermediate contact part of island structure. SOLUTION: A movable side mold 30 and a fixed side mold 40 are clamped to demarcate a cavity C, gas is injected into a cavity C from a blow/vacuum mechanism 50 to increase an inner pressure of the cavity C to thereby suppress a foaming reaction of a foamed resin material M. After injection filling, the movable side mold 30 is subjected to an inching opening operation, and when venting the surplus gas of the cavity C to the outside of the mold through the blow/vacuum mechanism 50, by performing the venting from a vacuum mechanism 60 dedicated for the intermediate contact part set in a mold area of the shape A liable to cause remaining of surplus gas, like the intermediate contact part 11 of the island structure, the inner pressure of the cavity C during the foaming reaction is kept constant to eliminate the appearance defect.
