PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently generate and display thumb-nail images for display. SOLUTION: A CPU 101 is included which performs thumb-nail image display control in which a thumb-nail image of a page input for a selected job is read from a thumb-nail buffer or created from a job within an image storage means and stored in the thumb-nail buffer to display the thumb-nail image, and performs judgement control in which whether or not a change of the page to be displayed as a thumb-nail image is input for a job selected as job selection input while the thumb-nail image is displayed. The CPU 101 further judges whether or not the thumb-nail image of the changed page is present in the thumb-nail buffer when it is judged that the change of the page to be displayed is input, displays the thumb-nail image of the changed page by reading it form the thumb-nail buffer if the thumb-nail image is present, creates the thumb-nail image of the changed page if not, and stores this thumb-nail image in the thumb-nail buffer to display the thumb-nail image of the changed page.
