PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a maintainer to easily gather log file information of various devices without being conscious of types of file gathering object devices. SOLUTION: A portable apparatus main body 21 is provided with: a flash memory 22 including a setting value file wherein log definition parameters specifying log file storage positions of devices being log file gathering objects are stored in association with device determination parameters of respective devices, a program file wherein a log gathering program to be executed by various devices is stored, and a log output file; and interface parts 23 and 24 which are freely detachably connected to various devices and have a function of transferring the parameters and program stored in the setting value file and the program file respectively to devices being in a connected state and a function of writing log files output from devices being in the connected state, into the log output file.
