A non-aqueous electrolyte is provided to minimize high reactivity with a graphite-based negative electrode by containing an ester compound and a compound having an S=O group. A non-aqueous electrolyte comprises a positive electrode, negative electrode, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, a binder for the negative electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode has at least, a specific surface area of 1.5m^2/g. The nonaqueous electrolyte comprises (i) a compound having an S=O group; (ii) a mixed organic solvent including carbonate and propionate-based ester compound of the chemical formula 1; and (iii) at least one material selected from a group consisting of cyclic sulfite having an S=O group, saturated sultone, unsaturated sultone and non-cyclic sulfone. In the chemical formula 1, R1 is CH3CH2 and R2 is C1~C6 halo alkyl group or C1~C6 alkyl group. |
