<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of reducing concern that the execution of image forming becomes impossible, even when a paper jam is detected in a paper carrying passage in which the paper jam is not supposed to occur. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises a paper feeder detecting switch 801 detecting whether a paper feeding cassette 83 is installed or not; jam detecting sensors 812, 822 detecting paper jams in paper carrying passages 811, 821; a jam detecting sensor 832 detecting a paper jam in a paper carrying passage 831; and a paper jam control portion 107 which prohibits image forming when the paper feeding cassette 83 is installed and the jam detecting sensors 812, 822, 832, 842 detect the paper jams, and does not prohibit image forming even if the jam detecting sensor 832 detects the paper jam when the paper feeding cassette 83 is not installed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
