A fabrication method involves making a puppet or soft toy body with a head section, inputting individual features of the toy with indicated biometric data on a first data terminal or via an input interface of a data processing device. The biometric data is then outputted to a second data appliance or an output interface of the data processing device as image data, and/or a processing dataset. Permanent embossing of individual features is carried out onto the puppet or soft toy body, especially the head or a flat surface part, on the basis of the image data and/or the processing dataset.
