PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content provision system capable of selecting and providing a content according to the connection environment of an outing destination when a home terminal such as a personal computer at home is accessed from the outing destination via a communication network. SOLUTION: A content provision unit, constituting the content provision system for providing the stored content to the terminal via the network, includes a memory means for storing contents; a reception means for receiving the connection terminal information of the terminal; a provision content determination means for determining the provision content accessible from the terminal from among the contents stored in the memory means, by referring to predetermined provision content management information based on the received connection terminal information; a provision content information generation means for generating the provision content information to access the provision content from the terminal; and a transmission means for transmitting the provision content information to the terminal.
