<p>Elemental analysis of an earth formation is obtained using measurements from a gamma ray logging tool. From the elemental analysis, an estimate of the carbon content and the sulfur, vanadium, nickel, titanium and/or molybdenum content of the formation is determined. A table look-up is used to estimate the viscosity from the elemental composition.</p> |
