A stand of a surgical lighting device is provided to prevent a sudden movement of a lifting part and perform a height control with a low power by connecting a balance weight. A stand of a surgical lighting device is connected to a head with a lamp for irradiating the light to a surgical part and includes a plump extension part(1) which is extended upward and downward. The plump extension part includes a main frame(11), an extension frame(12), a balance weight, and a cable. The extension frame is supported in the main frame to move upward and downward by being connected to the head. The balance weight(13) offsets the weight of the lifting part with the extension frame. The cable is connected to the main frame, the extension frame, and the balance frame so that the moving direction of the extension frame and the moving direction of the balance weight are opposed.
