<p>A portable terminal (100) comprises an area setting section, a software key display section, pointing devices (10), and a character information display section. The area setting section sets a plurality of display areas for displaying the plural software keys associated with each of a plurality of items of character information included in a predetermined input character type. The software key display section displays two or more software keys assigned to each of the display areas set by the area setting section in the corresponding display area. The pointing devices independently select the software keys displayed by the software key display section for each of the display areas according to the user operation. The character information display section displays the character information corresponding to the software keys selected by the pointing devices.</p> |
