<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell reformer improved in startability by making it possible to quickly heat a carbon monoxide removal catalyst to a temperature at which the reaction is possible. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a fuel cell reformer 30 provided with a reforming part 76 where a reformable fuel is reacted over a reforming catalyst 90 to form a reformed gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide, a carbon monoxide removal part 78 where the reformed gas formed at the reforming part is reacted over a carbon monoxide removal catalyst 96 to form a carbon-monoxide-devoid reformed gas, which is fed into a fuel cell 10, and a first heating part 80 where a heating fuel (warming-up fuel) is burnt to heat the reforming catalyst and the carbon monoxide removal catalyst, wherein an electric heater 150 heating the carbon monoxide removal catalyst is disposed inside the carbon monoxide removal part 78, and the electric heater 150 is energized when the heating fuel is fed into the first heating part 80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
