LIVESTOCK TREATMENT CAROUSEL

A livestock treatment carousel (10) includes a rotatable platform (12) and a plurality of fences (14). The rotatable platform (12) has a substantially vertical axis of rotation. The fences (14) define at least one stall (16) for receiving livestock (26). Each of the fences (14) has an inner end (14a) disposed toward the axis of rotation and an outer end (14b) opposite the inner end (14a). The rotatable platform (12) extends substantially beyond the stall (16), either inwardly or outwardly from the stall (16), or both inwardly and outwardly, for providing one or more walking areas (28, 125) on the platform (12, 112) for one or more attendants (27) treating the livestock (26). The carousel (10) may incorporate a movable gate (18) at each of the fences (14). The movable gate (18) closes to contain the livestock (26) in the stall (16) and opens to release the livestock (26) from the stall (16).
