PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrocellulose solution the phosphor slurry of which can be stuck satisfactorily to the inside surface of a glass tube and which can keep a stably suspended state of a phosphor in the phosphor slurry when the phosphor slurry is produced by using the nitrocellulose solution and to provide a method for producing the nitrocellulose solution, the phosphor slurry using the nitrocellulose solution, a method for producing the phosphor slurry, a phosphor coating film formed by using the phosphor slurry and a fluorescent lamp in which the phosphor coating film is formed. SOLUTION: The nitrocellulose solution contains nitrocellulose and butyl acetate. The average degree of polymerization of the nitrocellulose is 400-2,000.
