A vehicular alternating current generator comprises slip rings, an enclosure, a rear cover, and a sealing plate. The slip rings are provided on a rotary shaft of a rotor. The enclosure component encloses a peripheral space surrounding the slip rings and brushes, and the rear cover covers electrical components including the brushes. The sealing plate, which is made of a material having elasticity, is attached to an end surface of the rear cover in a vertical direction and encloses a surrounding area of the enclosure component.
