<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a circuit board with a color filter free from metal ions that give adverse influences on driving of a circuit, and to provide a circuit board with a color filter obtained by the method. <P>SOLUTION: (1) The method for forming a circuit board with a color filter comprises: overlapping a circuit board with four kinds of laser thermal transfer sheets having at least a photo-thermal conversion layer and an image forming layer of red (R), green (G), blue (B) or black (K) on a support; and imagewisely irradiating the thermal transfer sheet side of the board with a laser beam to transfer the image forming layer onto the circuit board to form an image of R, G, B and K.
