A method for setting environment of a display device is provided to change environment setting of the display device automatically using setting information on the source device or a program. A method for setting environment of a display device comprises following steps. An information of an activated external Audio/Video device is checked(S1010). A setting information corresponding to the audio/video device is read by a memory part(S1020). An output environment of the display device is change by the setting information(S1030).
