<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilingual word classification device and a multilingual word classification program, capable of classifying words contained in a language to content word and function word, even if an electronic dictionary in which words are classified, without using statistic features of words. <P>SOLUTION: The multilingual word classification device 1 is adapted to classify, by use of a first language with classification of content word and function word, for a second language without classification of content word and function word, which is composed of the same characters as characters of the first language or including the same characters, words of the second language to the content word and the functional word.
