PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handsfree apparatus that allows a changeover from handset talk to handsfree talk at an accurate timing. SOLUTION: When a mobile phone 1 and another mobile phone 21 are in the handset talk over a telephone network 22, during the time when a short-range radio communication that is in conformity with the Bluetooth communication standard is possible, for example, if a predetermined key is operated on the mobile phone 1, the talk is changed to a handsfree talk that uses a handsfree apparatus 9. If a user of the mobile phone 1 is outside a car room, it is possible to prevent the changeover of the handset talk to the handsfree talk due to non-operation of the predetermined key.
