PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square gabion effectively preventing deformation due to stone filling by mounting a simple reinforcing member. SOLUTION: A square gabion body 2 is mounted with the reinforcing member 3 comprising a horizontal support part 3a extended along a bottom face net 6 of the gabion body 2 to support the bottom face net 6, and inclined support parts 3b rising obliquely upward from both ends of the horizontal support part 3a and connecting the upper ends to side face nets 7, 7 to prevent the deformation of the gabion body 2 due to stone filling. The horizontal support part 3a is formed in a shorter length than the net width W of the bottom face net 6 to linearly support an intermediate part of the bottom face net 6.
