The invention relates to near infrared weak optical signals transmitted via fiber-optic communication lines. The inventive device for recording weak optical pulses is characterised in that a control unit is provided with additional elements for controlling offset voltage, an operation threshold and a turn-on and turn-off time of a photoelectric pulse comparator (12). The device comprises an offset voltage former (9) and the comparator (12), wherein the input of the former (9) is connected to the output of the control unit (8) and the output of the former is connected to an avalanche photodiode (11). The output of the elements for controlling the operation threshold and the turn-on and turn-off time is connected to the inputs of the comparator (12) and the output of the comparator (12) is connected to the input of the former (14). Said invention makes it possible to totally or in part suppressing undesirable electric pulses.
