An on-and-off castor for furniture comprises a wheel 1 rotatably mounted on one end of a spring 2 mounted in a retaining member 3, the other end of the spring being bent vertically upward to form a shaft 6 pivotally mounted in a pin 7 on member 3 which has a bell-shaped part 8 which, when the spring is compressed due to loading of the furniture, will move downwards to cover the wheel and engage the floor 9 to support the furniture. |
