Title cpds are of formula (I) -OOC.CH2.CH(NHMe).COO- - R1+R2+ (I) (R1 and R2 = R4 and R5 = H, alkyl, aryl or hydroxyalkyl, R3 = (CH2)n, n=0-5; or one of R1 and R2 may also be H). (I) are powerful CNS stimulants useful in treatment of fatigue, depression and astheniaard are prepd by conventional salt formation. Suitably R4=A2-(N,N-dimethylamino)ethanol ation and R2 = R1 or H.
