<p>The knot former consists of a shaped piece of leather with a holding strap through which the tie is pulled. The knot former is then folded along premarked lines and the folds are held by means of press studs. A pair of larger press studs is attached by means of elastic bands to retaining rings. The larger studs are retained under the collar wings. The knot former is used on conjunction with a back strap. Both parts incorporate a permanent magnet. These locate the knot. The design can be used with ties, cravats etc., and is comfortable to wear without constricting the neck. It can also be pulled downwards and worn with the collar unbuttoned.</p> |
