<p>Arylbutanonepiperazines, tranquillisers and analgesics. Aryl ketones of formula where Ar is furyl, thienyl, or Ph opt. substd. by hal, (1-3C) alkyl, (1-3C) o-alkyl, or CF3; R is H, (1-3C) alkyl, Ph opt. substd. by hal, (1-3C) alkyl, or (1-3C) o-alkyl, or a 5-6 membered) heterocyclic residue contng. N, O and/or S atoms and opt. substd. by (1-3C) alkyl, are known tranquillisers and analgesics. (I) are prepd. by redn. of the corresp. 1 beta-aryl propionylpiperazine and oxidation of the intermediate butanol. (II) where Ar and R are not heterocyclic are novel.</p> |
