1407825 Clips; damps HERAEUSCHRIST GmbH 24 Aug 1972 [26 Aug 1971] 39563/72 Heading E2B [Also in Division B2] A clip for holding a blood bag in a pivotable cup of a centrifuge (see Division B1-B2) consists of a U-shaped strip 1 of resilient sheet metal, Fig 1, whose side arms engage the opposite walls of the bag and have end portions 2 which are turned inwardly and are provided with outwardly bent lips 3 for gripping and supporting a sealed end portion of the bag. In a modification, Figs 7 and 8, serrated clamping jaws 18, 20 are secured by screws 17, 19 to the inwardly turned portions of the strip 1. Bolts 22 are fastened by the screws 17 to the jaw 18. The jaw 20 has perforations 24 through each of which the head 23 of a bolt 22 can pass when the side arms of the strip are spread apart. The bolt head has an inclined lower surface which cooperates with an inclined surface 27 on a slider 25 to open or close the two jaws. |
