A new arrangement for the cutting and bending of component leads for mounting on circuit boards. Tongs can be operated by handle, a foot press using air pressure up to ten bar, or as mains operated electro-magnet. The tongs are fixed or portable, and bending or cutting inserts can be attached to their working ends for cutting the component leads to a standard length. They are placed on the circuit board soldering side. The jaws are screwed to the tongs ends. Their heads can be exchanged for other attachment. A stationary unit can be converted into a portable unit by an additional piston.
