The floor finishing appliance is for smoothing flooring where a concrete mass with shingle of vaying sized mixed with it, leaves protuberances caused by the larger stones in the shingle, which must be smoothed away. The smoothing slide unit is borne and guided by rails interconnected by crossbars, and which may lie on the base only at certain points, while they are also taper downwards in cross-section. The connection by the crossbar may be detachable, and the rails may be extensible by further connecting media. There may be supplementary pieces for varying the length of the smoothing slide between 1 m and 3 m, and it may be equipped with a detachable bar-type handle. It may have accommodation in the middle for a weight to increase the pressure. Rough protruding stones are promptly pushed aside, and hollows filled with a cement mass.
