<p>A support member is provided for securing to the pile to allow attachment of the supporting ropes, the latter passing through a hammer block, while means for hoisting and lowering pile and block are situated above water level. The pile ropes are guided through the block (2) by means of a frame (3), in which both block and pile (1) slide freely in the vertical direction, and the frame is secured to the lifting tackle (5) for the block. The design allows the pile to be easily kept correctly aligned, particularly during the initial phase of driving into a soft seabed.</p> |
