<p>A sliding door has rails (3, 4) which act as a guide when the door is opened and closed. The door (1) has a drive unit and a connecting element such as a chain (7), linking the drive unit to the door itself, the connection being equipped with a brake mechanism. The brake mechanism consists of a guide linked to the door leaf, in which a bolt (10) fixed to the chain (7) slides. Both guide and bolt have a groove, these two grooves being able to line up with each other. The door leaf (1) has a movable pawl which is manually controlled and can slot simultaneously into the grooves in the guide and bolt.</p> |
