<p>The multi-layer packaging material placed around or over the product (20) to be protected has a wall section (10) comprising a glued, coated or laminated web (12) made up of an inner transparent layer (14) and an outer flexible opaque layer (13) which can be torn away from the inner layer. The laminated web (12) is cemented with a second part (16, 17, 18) of the package (10) near to the circumference of the inner layer so that the package is sealed. The strength of the connection between the outer and the inner layer (13, 14) is less than the strength of the connection between the web and the second part. The opaque and transparent layers can together form a sealed cover to a tray-like container for the product.</p> |
