<p>1479307 Wax coated glass CENTRALIN GESELLSCHAFT CHEM FABRIK KIRCHER & CO 16 Oct 1974 [16 Oct 1973] 44817/74 Heading B2E A protective coating is formed on the surface of a glass object, e.g. a bottle by spraying, in the form of an aerosol, an aqueous emulsion of a wax on the warmed surface of the glass, e.g. 80‹-100‹C and removing water by heating. The wax contains 40% 1, 3-butanediol, 25% purified carnauba wax, 20% hard paraffin wax and 15% non ionic emulsifier, e.g. an alkyl ethoxylate. The dispersion may also contain a preservative, e.g. an adduct of 70% benzyl alcohol and 30% formaldehyde. The paraffin wax may have a melting point of 50-64‹C and a penetration of 10-24.</p> |
