Entry treads system for commuting railway vehicles - has rotating treads aligned with floor for different platform levels

The entry arrangement for commuting traffic vehicles is used especially in railway vehicles. The entry opening is closed by a door and the entry has treads rotating about a horizontal axis parallel to travelling direction. In the end position the entry opening is covered up to the level of the vehicle floor. In the other end position at least two treads facilitate the movement of passengers to lower platform level. The tread arrangement is powered and remote controlled with a safety monitor. High and low entry platform levels can be accommodated by this safe system. The treads (11) consists of at least two treads (3, 12) connected with side plates (18). The arrangement rotates about an ideal rotating axis (5). The stair arrangement (11) has a component aligned with a hinged floor part (26). The tread assembly is stiffened with a trough shaped profile (37).
