Stereoscopic camera for roll film - operates with film strip at angle and separate frames spaced laterally and vertically

The stereoscopic camera has the film strip running inclined to the horizontal, from a higher to the lower reel. The angle of the film and the spacing of the separate optics is such that the two corresponding frames (L16, R16, L17, R17) are focussed at the same height in the camera, but with one frame on the top half of the film strip and the other on the bottom half. The two frames are thus spaced laterally as well as vertically on the film. Successive frame pairs are exposed with any length of film strip, even with simple cine film. The projector/viewer has a similar arrangement so that the corresponding pairs of frames are accurately positioned for viewing. A simple and economic stereo system is provided, using conventional film.
