<p>The vehicle disc brake has a stirrup which is in two parts, the assembly surfaces of these parts being in a plane parallel to that of the disc. Each part of the stirrup has a surface which is perpendicular to the plane of the disc to guide one of the brake pads. The bridge piece of the stirrup has circumferentially spaced apertures allowing inspection of the pads. Each guide surface (34) is in two radially spaced ports the metal friction pad support having two lugs (36, 36A) which are slidable over the guide surfaces. Between the lugs, the friction pad projects the space between the guide surfaces.</p> |
