The induction pipes 10-13 terminate in a chamber 14 and are of equal length. Corresponding exhaust pipes are collected together into main pipe 19, the diameters and lengths of the exhaust and inlet pipes being such as to produce maximum assistance to the volumetric efficiency at selected engine speeds. The firing order of the embodiment is 1-5-7-2- 6-3-4-8, there being a 90 degree crank angle phase difference between each firing. |
