<p>PURPOSE:To decrease NOx contained in exhaust gas with efficient utilization of reducing agents and to decrease heat loss, by reduction and decomposition of NOx contained in the exhaust gas formed in exhaust gas-generating unit with thermally decomposed product of reducing agents by means of an exhaust-gas-heating unit. CONSTITUTION:Thermally decomposing and reducing agents such as amino cpds, e.g., NH3, N2H4, or urea; or inorg. or org. NH4 cpds. are fed through a thermally decomposing and reducing agent feed pipe 6 to an after-heater 5, where it is thermally decomposed. The thermally decomposed products are introduced through a pipe 7 to a flue duct 4 and is discharged through a flue duct 8 to the air. Although exhaust gas formed in a generating apparatus 1, e.g., a boiler, is cooled to nearly 50 deg.C while passing through an apparatus 3 causing temp. fall, e.g., wet desulfurizing unit, it is heated with the thermally decomposed gas led through the pipe 7, and NOx contained in the exhaust gas is reduced and removed at high temp. with NH2 radical contained in the decomposed gas while passing through the flue duct 8.</p> |
