The toothbrush has an elastic membrane (1) fitted round the bristles (3) to give a better application of the toothpaste and avoiding its dispersion and waste. The membrane is e.g. made of rubber and is incorporated in the head of the brush (2). The membrane surrounds the bristles and leaves the tops of the bristles free in the centre.
