PURPOSE:To give a quick response feature to the stop response by providing a flywheel diodes in the main circuit of a DC series motor which is operated by a pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:The flywheel diodes D1 and D2 are connected in parallel with field windings F1 and F2 of the DC series motor, and a resistor Ra is connected across the terminals of an armature M. When a relay F is deenergized by the pulse stop signal from the DC motor which is operated in the forward direction and the motor is separated from a power source E, a counter-electromotive force is generated in the field winding F1. The current If1' flows in the direction of the arrow, and the field current If1' is securely maintained during the period determined by the time constant of the inductance of the field winding F1. Since the DC motor operates as a generator during said period, the braking effect similar to the generating brake method can be expected by dissipating the generated power as thermal energy in the speed regulating resistor Ra. Thus, the quick response feature can be given to the stop response. |
