Production of insecticidally active vinyl-cyclopropane carboxylic acid esters

Insecticidally active vinyl-cyclopropane carboxylic acid esters of the formula <IMAGE> (I) are prepared by reacting <IMAGE> in which R12 is a radical selected from the group consisting of <IMAGE> with an alcoholate of the formula M-O-R8. Various processes for making the intermediates are also described. Many of the intermediates and end products are new.
