PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation in roundness when an real cylinder head is mounted by roundness honing of a cylinder bore employing a head model. CONSTITUTION:After the boring of cylinders 2A-2D, a head model 3 is clamped securely on the top of a cylinder block 1 through a head bolt 9. Under such a condition, honing is inserted through holes 6A-6D of the head nodel 3 to hone to cylinder bore. After complete honing of all cylinders 2A-2D, the head model 3 is removed and instead a real cylinder head is likewise securely clamped thereon through the head bolt 9. This can positively prevent the deformation in roundness when the real cylinder is mounted. |
