OPTICAL OBJECT PASSAGE SENSOR

The light barrier has a light-emitting semiconductor and a photocell contained within two identical housings (10) which are mechanically coupled together, either directly or via an intermediate element. The coupling surfaces of the housings and/or the intermediate element incorporate position adjustment means. Pref. each housing (10) is L-shaped and comprises a conductor band (1) combined with a plastics block (2) having a recess (7) for contg. the light-emitting semiconductor or the photocell near the top of one arm facing inwards. The end face of the other arm comprises the coupling face and has a number of conical pegs and corresp. conical apertures cooperating with complementary apertures and pegs of the other housing (10). The two housings may be of different colours.
