1405325 Heat-reflecting panes FLACHGLAS AG DELOG-DETAG 26 Oct 1973 [17 Nov 1972] 50072/73 Heading G2J A heat-reflecting pane comprises a transparent support sheet, a light-transmitting silver layer and a dielectric layer disposed between the support sheet and the silver layer, the dielectric layer being substantially absorption-free and having a refractive index greater than 2, the thicknesses of the dielectric and silver layers being between 400 and 600 Š and 140 and 240 Š respectively. In a particular example, the thickness of the dielectric is 500 Š and that of the silver layer is 190 Š. The dielectric may be zinc sulphide, cerium dioxide, titanium dioxide or bismuth oxide. The silver layer may be protected by a transparent lacquer. The heat-reflecting pane may form part of a double-glazing unit, in which the silver layer is adjacent the air-gap. Also, a glass sheet may be adhesively secured to the silver layer of the heatreflecting pane. In a second double-glazing unit, a glass sheet is adhesively secured to the transparent support sheet.
|
