PURPOSE:To obtain a softening agent of high softening effect for clothing by adding quaternary ammonium salt particularly to a cation surfactant, just before the impeller in a water flow piping, and making a dispersion of fine grains before these contact with water and the surfaces form viscous liquid crystals. CONSTITUTION:The softening effect for clothing by a cation surfactant is such that as the dispersion grain sizes of the cation surfactant are smaller, the amt. of adsorption on clothing is larger and the effect of softening is higher. A device having 12 pieces of cation surfactant supply ports 3 apart by 20mm. from a propeller type impeller 6 of a 30mm. vane diameter within a piping installed with said impeller 6 is used and hot water of 50 deg.C contg. beforehand 0.5% an antigelling agent, and 50% a low temp. stabilizder and 5% di-tallow dimethyl ammonium chloride of 60 deg.C is supplied continuously to the impeller of 5,000 revolutions per minute, whereby a cationcic surafactant dispersion is obtained at 500kg rate per hour. Thereby, 85% particles of <=0.45 micron are contained in the dispersion and the dispersion of good softening effect for clothing is obtained. |
